Used treasure hunting toolsIn June of 2003, members of Golden Circle Research, successfully mapped an area in Arizona. That area, located on private land, was a part of the "Lost Dutchman" treasure layout.
Initial mapping was done with a "Geohm 2" by Gossen. This instrument is for making geophysical measurements, e.g. determination of the specific earth resistance in a given area. This endeavor indicated the existence of a "vault" and a second set of readings was called for. Another Geohm 2 was used and obtained virtually "Identical readings", compared to the first set of tests.
The little "Geohm" had certainly proven its worth. The vault was opened and the mapping showed almost exactly the same dimensions as the excavation, shown in part below.
